Ah, there’s my blog

Amidst all the boxes from the move “up north” I seem to have misplaced my blog. I couldn’t remember which box I put it in, but as you can tell I finally found it.

Our move to Higgins Lake was fairly uneventful, which is just the way you want a move to go. We had lots of helpers last Friday that got us loaded in record time. We started loading the truck and trailers at about 10 A.M. and were on the road by 3:30 P.M. Saturday’s unloading went just as well with many helpers. The work started at 8 A.M. and we were totally unloaded by 10:20 A.M.

Moving is one of my least favorite things to do but all the help we had made the actual moving much more enjoyable. We’re still settling in and have lots of boxes still waiting to be unpacked.

I still won’t be posting too much until things settle down around here a bit.

Space Shuttle Columbia lost

STS-107 Shuttle Columbia CrewA couple weeks ago The Homeschooling Revolution reported that the commander of the Space Shuttle Columbia, Col. Rick Husband, is a Christian, homeschooling dad. As I watch news reports, they speak of the limited possibility of survivors from this mornings break-up of the Space Shuttle Columbia. It doesn’t look good at this point. Information about this mission can be found here. What a tremendous loss. You have to feel bad also for all those involved in the work on this mission. I can’t help but think that the engineers involved would wonder if there’s something they could have done to contribute to this tragedy. Pray for them. Pray for the families of the crew.
