Mourning a loss — a national title game loss

Since the Buckeyes were playing in the national title game yesterday our family felt it only appropriate to declare yesterday a national holiday. Today we’ve declared a national day of mourning–at least around the Pierpont home. After their loss last night to Florida I had to say “who are you and what have you done with my Buckeyes”. They didn’t appear to be the same team last night. While saddened by their loss yesterday I’m still pleased with their perfect regular season and certainly happy with their win over the team from Ann Arbor–just in case y’all had forgotten about that. Go Bucks!

Ohio State - a strong No. 1

The Buckeye’s showed up strong in Texas last night–they looked really good with the one exception Kevin Jr. mentions.

Early blockbuster: Buckeyes vs. ‘Horns

Ohio State vs. Texas would be a big game any time, any year.

Plop it in early September, make it No. 1 vs. No. 2, and mix in that Texas beat the Buckeyes on the way to the national championship last season and you’ve got one big-time early fall blockbuster.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year

osu go bucksYes folks it’s college football season and the Buckeyes open today playing Northern Illinois. It’s nice to see the Bucks ranked #1 but that doesn’t mean a thing if they don’t win. My hopes are high for another great season. Listening to 610 WTVN web radio and just heard head coach Jim Tressel just quote C. S. Lewis–interesting.
