Happy 7th Birthday Zack

Zack birthday 7

Carolyn and I took Zack to breakfast this morning for his 7th birthday.

Lighting the tree

After the snowball fight this afternoon we finally got the tree lighting taken care of too.

Snowball fight

We’ve got a lot of snow now and the kids really enjoy a good snowball fight now and then. Just a little fun in the north country with the Pierpont family. Merry Christmas!

A mild weather day here

It’s unusual to have such a warm day here in northern Michigan in November. Taylor grilled some brats and hot dogs for our lunch today given to us by our kind neighbors before they headed down state this weekend.

Things that really matter

My brother Ken’s piece this week is more than a nicely told story, it’s a call to fathers everywhere to make time for your family before it’s too late.

Dad, You need to lead

guys in canoeDad, you need to lead. Your kids need you to lead. Your wife needs you to lead. And for the Godly father, leading begins with teaching your family God’s Word. But for some that seems like a daunting task. You might be thinking, “How do I teach my family God’s Word when I hardly grasp it myself?” Whether that’s you or not, I think you’ll find Erik Raymond’s advice on leading your family in devotions quite helpful.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from our family to yours.

We had a worship filled service this Christmas morning with our church family. It was great being together.

Here’s the tree in our living room today right before we shared presents with the children.
