A Benediction and Blessing

My brother, Ken is here speaking each evening to the college-age volunteer staff who are here serving at camp this week. They’ve been working hard helping us make improvements this summer.

He was also the speaker for our all staff fellowship on Wednesday morning.

At the close of his message Wednesday morning he gave these words:

“Dear Barakel Team: Let me leave you with this benediction and blessing:

For those who have gone before us—make us faithful as they were.

For those who will follow us—the generations to come… make us faithful for their flourishing in Christ. You promised glory in the church in all generations…

And For You, O Christ… You are overall… For by you all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through you and for you…. Including this blessed place and all who sustain its ministries. Work in us, by your grace that we would live and die faithful to your name. Amen. God bless you…”

Please continue to pray for us all here at Camp Barakel that we’ll truly honor Christ in the work He’s entrusted to us here. Thank you for praying for and supporting us in that work.
