My brother Ken is a Pastor in Taylor Michigan and has a strategy for nudging people toward Christ. I like it. It’s what I want for my life, our family and for our church family.
We praise God for early progress in the support raising process to join the resident missionary staff at Camp Barakel. We’re at 10.5%.
Summer has been full. I’ve been able to make two round trips from camp on the semi and the buses. Each week of summer camp, buses and the luggage semi make a trip from Barakel returning campers to their families at stops along the way going as far south as Marshall, Michigan. The buses and semi reverse the route the next day gathering excited campers for another week of camp. [Read more…] about Summer Speeds Along
We’re excited to share some big news with you about our family. In mid April the Board of Camp Barakel, located in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan, met and approved us as missionary appointees to join the full time staff of Camp Barakel.
We’ve been praying for God’s leading for some time about whether the Lord would have us join the full-time resident missionary staff of Camp Barakel. God has opened many doors and has given us the opportunity and clear direction. Our hope is that we will be fully supported and ready to move to Camp Barakel by March 1, 2017.
I hear birds outside the window. Sometimes I wish I could look out from my desk and see the sky. The study I work from has windows made of colored glass. They look nice, but block the view. Thanks to their chirping, the birds bring the sky inside.
Birds and birdsong. Two of God’s many blessings. It reminds me of Psalm 40:5.
You have multiplied, O Lord my God,
your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us;
none can compare with you!
I will proclaim and tell of them,
yet they are more than can be told.
More than can be told are the blessings God gives. Like song birds that bring the sky inside.
Beginning tomorrow I will be hosting a new podcast called A Minute With The Word. I hope to have a new episode available each Tuesday.
In the first episode of A Minute With The Word we’ll be reminded that those who have Christ have the answer to the worlds problems. Our hope for now and eternity is in Christ and it is Him we are to proclaim.
Check back tomorrow and pass the word for A Minute With The Word podcast.
